Content

The CMCO provides an introduction to management consultancy. As an aspiring management consultant, it will help you learn about:

  • the consultancy role;
  • the consultancy cycle;
  • the client relationship;
  • communication for consultants;
  • effective project delivery; and,
  • structured, knowledge, research and analysis

To attain the internationally-recognised Certificate in Management Consulting Essentials (CMCE), awarded by the Institute of Business Consulting in conjunction with the Chartered Management Institute. The Chartered Management Institute is recognised by Royal Charter as the professional body for managers and management development. The CMCE is the first step in becoming qualified as a Certified Management Consultant and is the only qualification of its type in the UK.

 The CMCE Syllabus published by IBC contains six key areas:

  • The consultancy role 
  • The consultancy cycle
  • The client relationship 
  • Communication for consultants 
  • Effective project delivery 
  • Structured knowledge, research & analysis

The Certificate requires 45 guided learning hours which will be delivered over three days  with additional distance learning.
